Nasturtiums are easy-to-grow warm season annuals, with disc shaped leaves and bright yellow and orange flowers.

The plants establish quickly - with trailing stems reaching up to 2 meters. Their dense canopy suppresses weeds, and protects the soil against evaporation.

Nasturtiums are used in Integrated Pest Management - as a component in "trap crops" or "insectary strips" to attract insect pests and predators. Nasturtiums attract aphids - which often completely cover their stems.
